Living Room

After two difficult years without live performances, Brenna releases her most intimate project to date. Filmed in October 2021, this EP aims to capture the live show atmosphere we’ve all been missing while also bringing the listener into Brenna’s home in Brooklyn where she performs with friends and fellow musicians JJ Allen (Guitar), Zoe Schneider (Bass) and Brandon Pirrone (Percussion) assisted by creatives Jake Cheriff (Live & Mix Engineer), Jake Howard (Videographer), and Brooke Bell (Photographer). These songs have all been previously recorded and released in Brenna’s earlier catalogue which offers the listener an opportunity to contrast and compare like a time capsule. To help teleport the listener, this EP is accompanied by a series of videos featuring each song’s performance.

Belittle

Released less than 2 weeks before the most divisive American election in living memory, singer/songwriter Brenna Carroll taps into the heart of what it feels like to be a young woman living in the midst of Donald Trump's America.

Something

Brenna Carroll's 'Something' is a divinely soulful electro-pop anthem that allows her soulful vocal to take center-stage over a driving back-beat and a chorus hook that will remain in your mind. She effortlessly adds flourishes that touch upon more alternative realms.

'Something' embodies the feeling of love, self-doubt and the hope of it truly all being reciprocated and worth the relentless struggles. A universal message packaged in an intimate musical journey and delivered with a uniquely heartfelt honesty.

For singer/songwriter, Brenna Carroll, music has always been a channel to express something that can’t be spoken. It’s a tool to connect seemingly unrelated things, people, ideas and give them meaning. Brenna finds inspiration in a variety of places, being raised with an appreciation for all genres and an understanding that music could be used to convey any story. Her music is a conversation starter with a stranger; a description of a feeling; a way to place a listener in her shoes for three minutes. Her first album, Gallery, is named as such as each song is a portrait of a personal story. Since this project, Brenna has followed up with singles such as Something and Belittle which continue to invite the audience in to engage through common experience.

Brenna’s most recent project, Living Room, was recorded in her home in Brooklyn, NY and features live performances of her favorite original music.
